Step by Step Projects

This section is for projects I have done. I describe them step by step (well, not too much detail). It assumes that you already know how to decoupage and are looking for small tips that you hadn't thought of yourself. I hope this section will give you something worthwhile.

Seagull lady

I photocopied this painting out of a library book. I had two copies made. I cut out the lady with the seagulls attached (the ones that overlap her dress and body). I then cut out the seagulls around her that were not attached to her. I cut out the seagulls from the extra photocopy. The background was made up of storm blue, iridescent white and a little pale gold (all Jo Sonya colours).I positioned her centrally then added enough seagulls until I had a pleasing arrangement. I finished it with water-based varnish.
